Heading For The Top

With Chris having tested positive for Covid, it was just Tess and me for Park Run this morning and just me for Yeovil’s home game against Aveley this afternoon.

The rather balletic blip shows the ball heading to Yeovil’s  Jake Wannell (in green far left) who somehow managed to head over the bar from point blank range. 

As it happened it didn’t matter as we soon scored 3 goals in quick time and could have had 2 or 3 more in what was the best 45 minutes we’ve played in years.

Despite Aveley getting one back at the start of the second half, we saw out the game comfortably to win 3-1 and go top of the league, courtesy of a number of teams around us only drawing.
