Cranes

Another fairly slow start, because - with the very wet weekend - what would be the point in insisting on an early start? I managed to do a really solid peloton workout, with better numbers than of late, and then after that we had a wander around, collecting a prescription, buying some milk, and then getting a tram from Ocean Terminal to the Foot of the Walk for Mr A to order a book at the Argonaut Books and us to get some delicious sweet treats from Krema.

Part of wandering took us down past the Scottish government building. The new residential development on the Docks is going up quickly, and the reflections supplied my blip.

More reading this afternoon. I'm enjoying Orlando Figes' The Story of Russia. We are now watching Fiji v Portugal, where the Fijians seem unable to play rugby. The result of Portugal gaining a surprise victory would be that Australia would go through at the expense of Fiji. As someone said at half time, it seems that the Fijians have not even been introduced to each other. They have been playing like individuals not a team. But it seems that Portugal scoring a try has now woken them up.... I think we are in for an exciting second half, especially now that Fiji have had a man sin binned....
