Lost Weekend

Well, the flood water finally receded and we went to bed exhausted. It got into the foundations and just skimmed the floorboards. Much too close for comfort. Unfortunately we were woken an hour later when the firefighters chapped the door to check that we were okay and advise of a fuel spillage that had got into the floodwater.

This morning we woke to hear that the Main Street has taken quite a hit and the Co-op is closed indefinitely until damage is repaired. We spent a good part of the day clearing up and getting the house back to normal. 

The Lost Weekend felt like a good choice from our ‘must see’ film list.
