Hardknott

Todays orienteering was on Hardknott, scene of the famous pass and a famous Roman fort.  I had planned to visit the fort but couldn't face the Sunday afternoon traffic on the pass which we would have to go over to get to the fort. So I sat in the sun - yes sun!!! after my run , sold some running tops (I'm the kit officer)  and chatted to people coming back from their run.  One of our runners , a very fit 72 year old, fell and broke her leg out on the hill so we had to call out mountain rescue.  So lots of excitement and fantastic scenery. All in all a good day out, well not for the runner who broke her leg obviously!  Photo taken on my way round the course.
