We are over near Peterborough visiting Gill's sister and her husband.
5 minutes walk away is Overton Station on the Nene Valley line.  This weekend's theme is 1980s British diesels - including this Intercity 125.

If you are old enough to have travelled on this sort of technology, you'll probably be feeling very old now :-)

We went to Stamford after lunch - a really fine fine old market town, plenty of people out enjoying the unseasonal sunshine and ... spending money in the shops.  I restricted myself to enjoying the busker, he was playing Metallica so we were all happy :-)
