A plant for W's office, which needs a bit of sprucing up. 

Good day off, cool and rainy this morning, and lovely sun and coolness this afternoon and evening. I didn't have any great ambitions for the day, and managed to meet them all. :-) Writer's group, nap on sofa with cat, visit to the eyeglass place to order new ones (expensive!), grocery shopping, good walk up the hill after dark, baked another apple cake, talked with sis in Seattle. Mom and stepdad Dave have moved into a retirement home and are preparing to put their house on the market. Lots of sorting going on. Unhelpfully, I'm 3000 miles away.
