Sally Mair - Loving life

Whether the weather

Whether the weather be fine,
Or whether the weather be not,
Whether the weather be cold,
Or whether the weather be hot,
We'll weather the weather
Whatever the weather,
Whether we like it or not!

Fortunately the weather I had to weather wasn't too bad, it's sad to see that others haven't been so fortunate.
Thanks for all the good wishes yesterday. I was fortunate in that the South East of Scotland seems to have got off lightly.
It rained most of the day and my blip is of the Tweed at Coldsream, very high and fast flowing. As you can see I actually ventured South of the border into England to take one of the pictures.
The only real problem I had was just north of Gordon where I went around a blind corner and came to a huge puddle across the road. I managed to slow and then held my breath as I went through on the crest of the road. Fortunately I made it through without skidding although the water was pretty high.
Just around the bend though I came across a car which had passed me not long before. I stopped to ask if I could do anything to help. I think he might have hoped for rather better than an almost 70 year old in a17 year old car mind you. Lol. He'd been going faster and hadn't managed to slow in time. The water had pulled off one of his mud flaps and caused quite a lot of damage.
I had lunch in Kelso in a lovely little places called Cobbles, very friendly and tasty food.
I've had a nice evening with my friend and we're all set to head over to Jedburgh and Carter Bar on our way to Riding Mill after church tomorrow morning. The weather is dry to be much better thank goodness with only light rain in the morning .
Hope you are all ok
