From Cabane Rambert

Which is where we met our son today. I like the mountain layers in the photo. He had walked over a big col from Pont de Nant. We had driven to Ovronnaz, taken a chair lift and still walked uphill for 700 metres in 2.5 hours to meet him. Our timing was perfect.

We haven’t been to the cabane for many years and there’s a metallic looking extension at the back now. The weather was fabulous, more summer than autumn. There were a surprising number of flowers around (see extra). After eating something at the cabane, we all made our way back to the chairlift.
