Deluge

We were so fortunate to have had a dry, mainly sunny day for Samantha and Matthew’s wedding yesterday. We were also fortunate that the Old Meldrum House Hotel caught fire today and not yesterday. No casualties but the blaze is ongoing.

The best part of today was a long breakfast with wedding guests. The journey back down to Glasgow is best forgotten with flood water everywhere, I left the motorway at Stirling and then almost got stranded outside Milngavie. It was good to have Ruari’s company and he seems very content on my sofa. We went out into Pollok Park earlier, I don’t think I’ve seen the water level quite so high.
