A change of direction

Last year I converted my old home office into a photography room. It's not really big enough or grand enough to warrant the title "studio", but it does have room for a little lightbox, so I do some small scale photography in here.
The flower in the vase is left over from a recent high-key lightbox photo, and I noticed how the light was catching it and casting lovely shadows as I came up the stairs.
Afterwards I realised it's right in the middle of a pile of reference books left over from when this room was a home office and the new lightbox - which seemed slightly symbolic to me (though really it's because I'm not organised enough to tidy up my props after I've finished with them!).
