Monarch of the Glen

Had a very dreich walk around the foothills of Arthurs Seat with my house animal who absolutely loved the wet weather and puddles.

Then after some board games (Puerto Rico) decided to use this wet weather day to visit the newly opened National Gallery extension below the mound. https://www.nationalgalleries.org/art-and-artists/features/new-scottish-galleries-national-opening-september-2023

Enjoyed seeing some classics like the Monarch of the Glen and some previously unseen (by me) paintings.

Then popped into the Museum on the mound as I’d never been in there either. Great stories and artefacts on display. https://museumonthemound.com/
