Froggy

Lovely slow start to the day with tea and crossword, Wordle, connections and etc. I even managed the whole crossword quicker than K for once!
Delicious ricotta pancakes, bacon and bananas for breakfast then we chatted about parenting, weddings, free speech and our Australian trip last year before I went down to P’s.
Beautiful warm sunny day….Stopped enroute to buy him fish and chips for his lunch. He loved it, demolishing the whole plateful (not a full portion mind you), then polished off some strawberries and icecream for dessert. He was then delighted to get a phone call from his cousin who is going to come and see him for his birthday next week…told him about the planned move to the care home near where the cousin lives and they talked about being able to visit more often. Really gave him a boost, and I called the care home to explain the delay and they were lovely. They’ve said the room will be held for him and not to worry, they’ll decorate it in the meantime. Phew, what a relief. We chatted about other things he needed to do before the move and he asked me to try and enlarge his favourite photo of my mum so he could have it on the wall. It was all faded but I took a photo of it and A is going to get it enhanced via Reddit and print it for his birthday.
All very positive…so good.
Drove down to Mt&H’s just in time for the kids getting home from school. They were on good form, Mx telling me about his Beaver badges and showing me the comics he’s started drawing and writing. Gave AR some little frogs I’d found when clearing out P’s bathroom and she decided to make up and film a video story of them playing in the garden that kept her occupied for ages. Here she was imitating one of their poses and faces…!
Chatted to H about courses, job interviews, kids etc til Mt home from a two day trip to Copenhagen, then I was supposed to babysit but after supper they decided they were too tired to go out so we watched some nonsense and chatted then had an early night.
