You have to laugh.......

........After a couple of weeks of outstanding weather with wall to wall sunshine and high temperatures, the day we chose to go walking on the island of Arran it rained!!!!

We took the ferry from Ardrossan to Brodick, and started walking at Whiting Bay, following Glenashdale Burn up to Glenashdale Falls, which are pretty impressive. From there we walked through the forest heading towards Lamlash, a bit of LRT and a bit of nice trail. Finished the walk at Lamlash and headed back to Brodick where we had a meal awaiting at 'Arran on a Plate'..... and a lovely meal it was too!!!

Caught the last ferry at 7.15 pm or thereabouts, and home at 9.30pm.

Apart from the rain, it was a great day out. Actually, even with the rain, it was a great day out!!!!

My photo is of the ferry going over to Arran..... as you can see not too many people up on deck...... it made me laugh anyhow!
