Timisoara!
So, it takes a bloody long time to get here - mainly becasue you have to go to Munich first and change planes. Happily this went smoothly - I have many colleagues telling horror tales of having to run the length of Munich Airport to catch their connecting flight. I know I am learning how to run but frankly it is a little early in the process to start doing it at the drop of a hat. I sat next to a man on the Munich flight who was doing lots of smelly farts - v happy to get off that plane!
My very enthusiatic taxi driver told me all about how he loved living here, my hotel is right in the city centre - lots of squares full of cafes and restaurants and people enjoying a summer's evening. I was taken out by my favourite Romanian colleague who walked me all round the city - you can get from one end to the other through the city parks. It is just beautiful, lots of lovely old bits and then young people on stilts, roller blades and scooters. Oh and it is a lovely 25 degrees - just like being on holiday!
We went for dinner, I ordered chicken skewers, very very embarrased by my total and utter lack of knowledge of the Romanian language. Then the waiter arrived with a 3 foot sculpted metal stand with my chicken skewer presented from it. Very overly dramatic! And ever so tasty.
I didnt really have a need to buy flowers but I wish I did. This lady looks so beautiful, professional and friendly - I always think the woman who sells flowers in Worthing looks dodgy and odd.
Sadly, I have to actually go to work tomorrow - turns out I am not actually on holiday. Kisses for all my babies xxx
