Lapper's poppy

Another glorious day up in Cumbria. Lapper's garden was looking fantastic. This poppy had just opened, and part of the bud had fallen inside.

Lapper has been growing plants for us. Lots of them. The car was turned into a greenhouse for the trip home. Plants were crowded in behind the front seats, on the back seats and in the boot. Luckily all of them survived the journey home, and I shall be kept busy planting them out in the next few days.

We also carried home a yummy chocolate tart and a birthday cake for next week. Hurrah!
