Frans Hals …

… exhibition at the National Gallery in London. Large and daunting, but very much worthwhile. We got there as it opened at 10 this morning, and stayed through to an early lunch around noon.

Afterwards we walked through a small part of the extensive permanent collection, pausing at a few of our favorites—Caravaggio, Titian, Holbein and Lotto, among others.
