Shield bugs...
These shield bugs didn't fly away when I went in for the 'right' lens since they were in a typical Heteropteran mating position. They are planning next years defoliation campaign. I think quite pretty in their own way. There was quite a choice of shots, including possibly a nightingale which was unremarkable as a shot.
The Minister for Fabrics, Furniture and Food has nipped to the supermarket to buy some rattan chairs which weren't there and is now slowly nipping back via A&Z's. She has been busy today piloting some tests and testing a new restaurant and hotel which she found in Suwalki. She ate their famous fish soup, a superb sorbet and came back full of praise for it. I think we might be going there again. She also called to see the upholstery man who is now armed with all the prerequisites to refurbish the 'Amerikanka' (armchair-bed).
I have had a number of phone calls, an unexpected request to go to the education congress in Warsaw at the weekend, which requires some urgent planning and someone is at the gate!
