Off-roading with a difference.
We’ve been to see Bobbie in her Care Home unit this morning.
One of the staff took us down to a nice little room set out as a Tea Room, where there were armchairs and tables.
We had the place to ourselves.
They made us each a drink.
I had printed off some photos of myself and Stephen and one taken at our old venue at Pacific Nurseries where we went each week for a coffee and cake, where the staff knew her and looked after her. It was me, Bobbie and one of the servers called Shirley. (See extra taken in August this year of her with just Shirley). Sad to think how quickly she began to lose her memory.
They are to put on the wall in her room.
Her daughters have already put photos up of themselves and one of her grandchildren.
After an hour and a half it was lunchtime, and we took her back upstairs.
Her unit is on the first floor, for the ones with Dementia.
Each person has a photo of themselves by their bedroom door so they know it is their room.
After all that we went to the pub for lunch on the way home. They had a limited offer on of 30% off main courses.
On our way home again I asked Stephen to stop the car, as I had noticed this one a couple of weeks back, just parked beyond a five barred gate, which I leant on to take the photo.
Later this afternoon we are going for Birthday cake and a drink at our son’s home, as it is our eldest grandson’s birthday.
He is 12 years old today.
Just got to wrap his present and write in his card, which we bought in France. A challenge to him to translate it!
Now having a bit of a breather before venturing forth once more,
