Signal box
I have decided to do all my blips from now on using my mobile phone. This is to try to explore the limitations and have a bit of fun with various apps. The rules are simple: no messing about in Photoshop just post the result direct from the cameraphone. It makes sense because that is the camera I carry with me everywhere.
So I did a job today to tie in with the 175th anniversary on the opening of the Carlisle to Newcastle railway line this month. I interviewed a couple of signalmen about the job and took a few shots inside the Brampton Fell signal box - which has old fashioned levers to work the signals. These did not seem to work but I liked the lines of the tracks in the foreground of the exterior shots. Sky was a little disappointing but I guess we have seen the last of summer already.
