Cattle Egrets

7 Cattle Egrets seen at RSPB Fairburn Ings in the Aire Valley near Castleford Yorkshire.

A Red Kite flew over and sent the Cattle Egrets up into the air, the Swans stayed on the water.

Checking Google Maps for the quickest route home ( and then following it to see if it was accurate) sent us North not South to the M1 East of Leeds and said 1 hour 10 minutes - this seemed incredible.  After more miles of the M1 than I would have chosen South to Barnsley and A628 home in 1 Hour and 12 minutes !
