Memorial to Kaikoura capsize victims

I went to Kaikoura with three friends who were on the boat that capsized off Goose Bay just over a year ago. We decided to stay for a couple of nights so that we could do more than just attend the memorial service on Sunday afternoon. So on a cold, blustery Saturday morning, I saw the memorial picnic table and five birds (mollymauks) to represent the five members of our club who died for the first time. 

Fortunately, Sunday was a brilliant spring day, with welcome warmth and clear skies.
