'S math sin

Day 2/2 of our stained glass workshop at Gallus Glass in Kirriemuir and it was smashing (although not in literal sense of the word).

The extra captures some of the different stages we went through today - fitting the lead, soldering, cementing then finishing off. Fitting the lead was a bit like doing a jigsaw puzzle but better - the lead can be used to hide small mismatches and others were dealt with by cutting off small bits of glass or grinding. I felt a real sense of satisfaction when it came together.

The actual blip shows the pieces of glasses left over from cutting or which broke.

Pictures of finished pieces will follow- I did two both based on favourite spots.

We had a lovely time last night at the session with T singing and playing and me foot tapping. It was also lovely to catch up with CK and R&K.

As an aside the term smashing in the sense of something good (possibly) comes from the gaelic 's math sin (roughly pronounced smashing and literally translated as "is good that"
