Grey Heron
There were 5 Heron around today, the little female (pictured) is in a typical crouched down position getting ready to see off the middle male. I was able to distract her by giving her a bit of fish. The others present were, the middle male, the nervy male, the adult male and the female chick (who is now bottom of the pecking order). A few minor disagreements but really they are pretty tolerant of each other. A couple walking round the loch stopped and looked over, I doubt they have seen 5 heron before.
When I was finished I made my way up the slope and when I turned they were all off to the loch.
The crows were around and actually managed to nab some fish but mainly got by on biscuits.
