In Bradford Wool Exchange
After over a week of beautiful sunshine, I think someone (you know who you are!!!) jinxed our lovely weather today and it has turned out dull and cool, resulting in an indoor blip. This is the view from the upstairs coffee lounge of the interior of the main hall of Bradford's Grade 1 listed beautiful Wool Exchange, now a very grand book shop. (See 24 May for the previous blip of this lovely bookshop.) With its tall polished granite columns and high leaded windows beneath a lofty hammer-beam roof, it must be one of the most beautiful and atmospheric book shops in the country. It is certainly a wonderful place to linger quietly and browse through the literary masterpieces on offer. And to enjoy a coffee.
