Stripey maize

It is good to see the maize is now growing after a slow start. It needs a lot of hot sun before it is harvested in the autumn. Both the stalks and the cobs are sliced up very finely together and put in the silage clamp. Very nutritious for the cattle.

Today MN came from Frome market to choose some cattle for next week. We shall be sending eight along with a barren cow. Now we must check they have all their eartags present and correct together with their passports!
