La Hougue Bie

I feel humbled by the epic history of this ancient pagan site we visited today. Now a Jersey Heritage site and museum, the 12th c chapel sits atop a mound that houses a much older passage chamber. There is also a full size replica Neolithic longhouse, a ww2 bunker, and an exhibition about the biggest Celtic coin hoard which was found in a Jersey field.
