Fox sake!
Happy Birthday Andrew! :-))
Andrew went with D and Lola on an errand to Crieff this morning while Alan was still asleep. This was after he'd had his French toast with golden syrup! Well it is his birthday :-)
We sang Happy Birthday to him at lunch time and he tucked into a large chunk of his birthday Malteser slice with his coffee. Alan was in a jolly mood as he was wearing his favourite Fox sake socks and had had his doze of diazepam as he had a dental appointment early afternoon.
They all headed off just after 1.00pm (David was taking Andrew to meet up with his mum later in the afternoon in Dundee) and I was determined to make a start on finishing the hexi cardi I've been crocheting forever! Actually the problem is I've not been crocheting it as I've become bored with it, but I am determined to get it done and I refuse to start another project until it's complete.
Followed the You Tube tutorial but was confused by the sizing in the written pattern where a sleeve without a cuff is listed as longer as a sleeve with a cuff! After advice from Withers (ignore the written bit and wing it!) I carried on and got one half completed to the stage of ready to join the other half. Tomorrow I will get the other half to the same stage, hopefully join both sides then finish off the sleeves by adding cuffs.
Meanwhile John, the Home Control engineer, arrived to install a new control unit and has (for the time being) restored all functions of the system. We will speak with him later this week to decide the way forward for the system, as it needs a full upgrade.
Alan returned from the dentist with a clean bill of health. Unfortunately his dentist is retiring and this was his last appointment with her. She has been so amazing with him and will be hard to replace.
After dinner D headed off to his singing rehearsal and I promptly dozed off! It's always a bit of a whirlwind when Andrew's here!
Friend S and her colleague M arriving tomorrow for a couple of days to attend a work course in Perth. It's a real case of revolving doors this week! :-)
PS I've included in my collage the "moon" light Andrew brought for Alan, which was a belated birthday present. He is such a sweet lad.
