Whispering Robin

My friend the robin was singing its subsong, also known as whisper song, from deep in the field maple hedge this morning. It's very quiet and the bird doesn't open its beak.

The ivy bush is buzzing again now that the second flush of flowers are opening. I captured a speckled wood butterfly and zebra jumping spider on it, neither of which featured in September.
