machine table. It made sense to buy the washing machine at the time. In hindsight we could have waited. It's the sole bit of furniture in the flat. Took warm rolls and picnic breakfast to the flat. Sanded some more, swept the floor but it doesn't help much. M did another side of a door today. There are two halves to go. Then stripping the paint of the metal handles. We need to clean up as much dust as possible before we start painting the wood. There are what feel like miles of skirting boards to sand  before we paint them. Progress is slow which is a good thing because German beurocracy is getting in the way, yet again.
