Visits

Out in Argyll with my boss today visiting some sites. First up was an amazing collection of early medieval carved stones - this cross possibly dates back to the 7th century and was one of many at the site we visited that suggested an early Christian community thrived here. Next up we visited St Columbia’s Cave which has had evidence of occupation dating back to the Mesolithic and is another early Christian site. And as three is the magic number we also visited a 10th/ 11th century cross now in Lochgilphead but originally from North Uist. A good day I feel. If only the hotel wasn’t so… quirky….
