Reunification Day.  It's a holiday here.  Most people took yesterday off to make it a long weekend.

The weather was not fantastic in the afternoon but the short storm was not unwelcome.

There was a clue in my cryptic crossword today - 24 hours to protect house in the old country (7 letters).  Relatively easy to solve - put DAY (24 hours) around HOME (house) and you get DAHOMEY (the old country).  It bears a striking resemblance to the Bayerish word "Daheim".  Seeing how words migrate and change is always fascinating.
