A treat

I did the market shopping first thing and was pleased to see fresh dates available for the first time this autumn. They are a real treat, sweet with a tiny bit of crunch on the more yellow ones. I went along to my tennis lesson but the subsequent practice was cancelled so I was able to go to French conversation. They were just four of us but we had a good chat and then Daniel and I went on to help some learners practice rounds in the tower. I only stopped for half an hour as I have a meeting at 7 pm. The transport is now in place for our forthcoming tower bell ringing outing to Cambridge. Just six ringers and one non-ringer will travel and we have rented a house for four nights. However, we will end up being a group of about 30 as quite a few UK ringers want to join up with us and have offered a lot of hospitality.
