Grey Heron

While I was having my morning coffee, I heard the distinctive croak call of this Heron. He was sitting in a neighbour's tree enjoying the early morning sun.
I spent some time in the kitchen this morning making a chocolate cake  and then Lentil curry for supper tonight. 
Disappointing news from daughter Penni is that she's unable to be here for Christmas, but the good news is that she will come here early in the New Year.
