Hello Kyoto!

Arrived safely in Kyoto this afternoon after taking the Shinkansen from Tokyo. This'll be home for the next 5 days! 

I'm staying in a Ryokan which will definitely be an experience as I've opted for a traditional Japanese room. The room is lovely though, so I'm sure I'll get used to it :P

Tonight, I'm planning on just exploring a little and not staying out too late (The Ryokan has a curfew of 11PM anyhow) then tomorrow it's time for a proper mooch around!
