Pink Poppy
On the way back to London from Macclesfield, I took a detour up by The Roaches in the hope that light and landscape might converge into a good picture. Sadly it wasn't the day for it.
Amusing experience of the day was having to open and close a few cattle gates, the last time I did that in this sort of thing in this terrain I was on horseback rather than in 2 litre turbo saloon.
These pink poppies caught my attention growing in the grass verge of a cottage near Meerbook. They were HUGE and I'd never seen pink ones before.
The owner of the cottage came out to chat, inperturbed that I was snapping away in what was virtually his front garden.
