Injured slow worm

The trees all look their best in their new foliage. As I cycled along I found a partially squished slow worm on the road looking stunned. I carefully picked up the two thirds that was left of him, and lay him in the hedge and he slithered away. Hopefully his tail wound will heal into a stump or grow again.
