The epitome of Autumn

I have also backblipped Saturday's Best of both ..... hope you will have a look .... thanks to those who already have :-)

Did more clearing in the garden this morning ..... getting there!

Another grey day but at least it was dry when we left for our walk! In fact it remained mostly dry ... just a few spots here & there ... an improvement on yesterday!

As we passed the Horse Chestnut tree we spotted this little arrangement on the ground beneath .... all nature's work!

Thought it summed up autumn a treat :-)

No sign of any Swallows or House Martins today .... think they may have flown for the year!

We did however see some Long-tailed Tits .... first we've seen for a few weeks ..... managed to get one quick photo (Extra) before they flew off!

Posting this Monday ..... may not be online tomorrow (Tuesday) as we have someone coming to do an Electricity safety check. 
Apparently this may take 2 to 4 hours! 
Don't know how big they think this house is?! They must think it's a mansion! Lol
