Cattle egret

These small heron like birds have been appearing in increasing numbers here . Today I saw these two on my way to see the flooded saltmarsh because of the very high tide.
The sea rolls in and completely covers the marsh making it look like a lake. The grey seals in the distance were all crowded on a bank  of sand waiting for the tide to retreat.
