Cords

So here is my Djembe which has been getting a workout over the last few months.   The wood comes from Ghana and on the top is a goat skin which is anchored down with a covered metal ring and keeping it all together and tuned are the cords.  Benjie my Djembe teacher made this drum.   He says he uses parachute cord which has great strength and doesn't stretch too much over time.
