Apples and Pears

We arrived home safely on Friday evening and have spent the last few days reorienting ourselves. I’ve done lots of washing and cleaning!

Today I ventured to the allotment. I was slightly concerned at how much the grass and weeds would have grown - and as it turns out it was quite a lot! So I made a start strimming and weeding, and of course harvesting - courgettes, potatoes, green beans, aubergines, cucumbers, onions and apples!

This evening Andy has made a tasty pear and apple sponge for pudding which we’ve enjoyed with custard - being the 1 October, it felt like the day for a autumnal dessert. Meanwhile Merlin is enjoying the comforts of home!
