A new family member arrives

Ichy - sounded like Icky, is a wonderful macaw that has come through a charity, where his owner could no longer keep him. Ichy is still finding his place in things and will take a good six months to adjust to a new home, new mummy, and new room. As you will see we have found bananas to be one of his favourites, and walnuts seem to work as a treat. His diet hasn’t been great, eating junk food, so it’s going to take him a while to get used to fruits, nuts, pulses, rice, seeds etc, he seems to hate anything red, usually parrots love chillies but not this one, anyhow, I think we can all agree he is absolutely amazing and I’m looking forward to working with him, he has behaviour issues, and was very aggressive in the previous home, so it’s going to be therapy time for Ichy, to work out his worries and allow him to be the gentle bird he could be….. I hope!
