Meet the Neighbours

We had a good night's sleep, probably the first since we left home and took things easy this morning.There was no rush to go anywhere as it was raining so we found somewhere for lunch and booked a table. When the sun began to break through so we drove to Salen and got a few more things at the shop including some bird food so we could fill the feeders out  the front.

The lunch menu was simple but we had lovely fresh fish and nicely cooked chips but we're at the end of the season and many things seem to be closing.

Once back home, I filled the feeders and was surprised how quickly the birds came to them. Mostly chaffinches but a variety of tits as well. Then the fallow deer came through and I liked this shot of the graceful female, I think.

I'll add an extra of the River Ba at the bottom of the wood looking across to Ben More.
