A start

A new month and a new start for this project. Having stripped out the mothy baize from the drawers on this old dresser back in July it has sat waiting for me to find the time to paint it.  Today was the day to make a start. I am thrilled with the Svenska Blue that I have chosen and I am just painting the inside with old white for now with a view to papering the drawers later.  Hopefully it will get rid of the unpleasant smell that I think may have been left by the ancient glue that stuck the baize in originally. Yukky.. lavender bags will be inserted afterwards for a while to help more. 
Daughters boat was on the move again today so did a quick drive out to reunite her with her car, she now has a better place to moor which is a help.
Rugby tonight will determine how much score Scotland will require when they play Ireland next week.
We thought about going to a concert this evening but the risk of mingling with covid before an uncles memorial next weekend decided it.. not worth the risk on this occasion.
