Trixie's Adventures

Somewhere beyond the mist behind me, there is 'St Michael's Mount'?!

No sign of 'Mr Sunshine' today, though the temp in St Ives was 20C. Went for my normal trek along the beaches and around the town and the sea conditions seemed perfect for swimming. However, as the tide was going out (and Ann had arranged to pop into a friend's for coffee this morning) she decided that the best time for a swim would be around 4-5pm when the tide would be coming back in again.

Early afternoon Ann had to pop over to Penzance to pick up a skipping rope from Argos, so she said that I might as well go with her and I could have my afternoon walk on Long Rock/Marizion Beaches. It's the 1st October so us doggies can go on all the Cornish beaches again 24/7. Whooo hooo!! How good is that?!

This is me having a little 'flop down' on some stinky seaweed because chasing after my orange manky old ball was exhausting. But do you know what?................... 2 secs after this photo was taken, I found a brand new orange ball. It was in perfect condition and much nicer than any of the other balls that I've ever found. There was nobody else around so Ann said I could keep it. The trouble was; I can only fit one ball into my mouth at a time and I didn't want to carry the brand new lovely orange ball. I wanted to keep playing with my manky old orange ball. So that is what I did. …...............And Ann carried the brand new lovely orange ball home for me. Yay!

Anyway, the reason why Ann had to go to Penzance to pick up a skipping rope was................. doing 100 skips a day is her 'October Project' and those of you who follow our Blips regularly will know how she loves her little projects. She bought a skipping rope yesterday in St Ives, but she thinks it's a child's one because it doesn't seem long enough. It took her three attempts (with rests in between) to complete 100 skips today. It will be interesting to see, if by the end of the month, she can skip continuously for 100 skips.

When I got home from my afternoon walk, I had snooze time. In fact I'm still having snooze time because playing with my manky old orange ball has worn me out. Ann went for a swim in the sea. Who would have thought that she'd still be swimming in the sea in October?

Weather app is showing rain tomorrow, but that's OK because we're both going to our friend Jacqui's for lunch tomorrow (she's an ex-hairdresser, so she's also going to cut Ann's hair) and then our weather app is full of little sunny day symbols for the rest of the week. Whooooohoooo!!!
