Babbacombe

Colin came round this morning and we took a ride out to Babbacombe.  We had coffee and a spot of lunch at the Railway Cafe which heads the funicular train to and from the beach.  We didn't go down but walked along the promenade, apparently the highest in the country, taking in the views.  I spotted these sparrows in a bush hosting lovley yellow flowers.

From there we drove to Shaldon and stopped off at The Bucket and Spade, the cafe/bar/restaurant on the Coast View Holiday Park.  Those blippers with a long memory will possibly remember we used to have a chalet here, we sold it in 2015.

The site has been updated, all the caravans have been replaced with smart chalets and lodges, the more luxurious ones are selling for over half a million.  Our 'old' chalet is still in place (we didn't get anything like that for ours!).

We had a cuppa and then drove back to Teignmouth. Colin is coming to dinner.
