Two for €3.60 !

A quiet, relaxing day. Late breakfast, then lounging about at the swimming pool and catching a beer or two from our restaurant. ‘Small of large’, Yani asked and before we could choose we ended up with small. Perhaps they were a 30cl measure, but the significant thing is that they only cost €3.60! Why, oh why are things so expensive back home in Ireland?

The only productive thing we did all day was a bit on in-advance booking of restaurants that remain top of our list after several visits here: Tomorrow and next Sunday we’ll have lunch in Copenhagen, a terrific Danish place that offers a buffet lunch (smørgasbord-style). We’ve also booked Wapa Tapa (a really good tapas place in the Yumbo Centre) and 360, where we’ve enjoyed a panoramic view of the sunset before over a cocktail or two, but never before tried eating there).

Tonight we had an urge to eat Chinese, and made a great choice by opting for Jade Garden on Avenida de Tirajana. What a great place! Lovely food, amazingly attentive staff, very reasonably priced. We’ll be back.
