Gulls eggs
Found in my local butchers yesterday. They are smaller than hens eggs and took 2 minutes for a soft boil.
With translucent whites and rich orange yolks I romantically imagined they would taste slightly of the seaside. Not the case. In fact each had a distinctly different flavour, one meaty, the other vaguely of coconut. From that I can only deduce (gulls being totally free range and everything), that one nested by a kebab shop, the other by a Thai.
Having a high protein breakfast was a wise move today as I spent a disproportionate amount of time in a traffic jam on the M1 going up to Macclesfield.
