Day 32 - Fog on Victoria Peak, Hong Kong
Last night we crashed out after a cruise around Hong Kong harbour stopping off at a traditional fish village for dinner. The fishing village on Eastern Harbour was not quite what I imagined as it was surrounded by sky scrappers, but that is Hong Kong, with over seven million people!
We crashed into bed after hardly sleeping since Paris only to be awoken by the fire alarm, fortunately it turned out to be a false alarm. Thank goodness as we are on the seventeenth floor.
This morning we took a coach tour that included a boat trip around the fishing village of Aberdeen, this is home to the remainder of Hong Kong's boat people. It was interesting to see the range of craft; large floating restaurants, fishing trawlers, small house boats and big money cruisers, all in such a small area.
After calling into Stanley Markets we drove to Victoria Peak where the fog was rolling in. A couple of minutes after I took this photo the fog completely blocked out the view and the rain became rather heavy.
The coach dropped us off near a noodle bar were we enjoyed pork and leek noodles.
