where there's smoke

Forest School part 2 resumes today, much to the delight of Son #1 who loves nothing more than getting into the woods and learning bushcraft type things, and has missed it dearly since part one ended a few weeks ago.

Today they learnt how to use natural materials to serve as tinder and kindling to get a fire started. along with flint and steel. All the kids were successful at getting a fire started, which was amazing and good for their confidence.
