Florence
After breakfast we went down to the pool . I went for a quick dip in the unheated pool. Chincia kindly gave us a lift to the train station as there were not taxis available. Then we headed to Florence.
On this train we had space for our cases with seats nearby. We were able to walk to our hotel which was a mile from the station.
Florence is busy and hot. I’m not really keen on crowds, so it’s challenging for me. We decided to do some orientation, finding the Duomo , the Uffizi Gallery and the ponte Vecchio . We had a roasted veg pizza and ice cold drinks and then tried to find the Bardini garden entrance. It involved a steep climb up winding streets and we got the last entrance at 6pm. We were rewarded with amazing views of the city.
My partner is not feeling well . So we went to the supermarket for a picnic dinner ingredients .
